Multitasking, battling the heat and shooting nicely 2 times out of 3
The 2nd part of the Greater Poland Cup in Horseback Archery
The Greater Poland Cup in Horseback Archery consists of 3 sub-competitions and only the 2 best results count for the final ranking. During the first run, we struggled with pouring rain and wintery temperatures despite it being held in April. This time, we were in the middle of a heatwave in Europe, with temperatures going up to 34 degrees Celsius.
This year I was focusing more on my horse-riding skills than horseback archery skills. I was working out to have more confidence when riding, to better react in stressful situations, and to be able to handle them calmly for the sake of both the horse and myself.
But after the last competition (not counting towards the Greater Poland Cup, fortunately) I realized that it’s only 3 months before the Poland Championship and I need to start training so I’m not that underwhelmed by my results. Especially since this year the Poland Championship is held in my city and my sports club is the main organizer. It feels important to do well (and if you (or your company) want to be a sponsor of the Poland Horseback Archery Championship, let me know!!!).
