How do you propagate data into multiple Google Sheets files?

A while ago Rita Łyczywek, author of the blog flynerd.pl, asked me to present at the upcoming Nerds Coding Gang meetup. In the past, I’ve already given presentations at events like girls.js, and Rails Girls where I always presented strictly soft project management topics. But this time I wanted to dive deeper into the technical skills you may need as a project manager — as the corporate reality often proved to me that without them you’re much more miserable.

Why would you need to use Google Sheets as a project manager?

Many tools on the market are better suited for capacity planning, risk management, or progress tracking — so why use Google Sheets?

The first reason — the most basic version of Google Sheets is free.

In a large company with an overwhelming budget for tools, this may not be an issue, but in a smaller company, you may not be able to get a budget for a license. On the other hand, in a large company, the process of introducing a new tool may be so lengthy and cumbersome…
